This map reflects the status of UK canal restorations in 2002, when some major projects were being completed. It was published in World Wide Waterways No. 15 in summer 2002. It reflects a period of intense activity and investment, while the pace of restoration work has slowed down over the past 10 years. This view was included in the feasibility study of restoration of the Roubaix Canal in northern France.
